UKFBA Google Calendar

A few weeks ago I added a calendar of UK food events to my sidebar, which I created using Google Calendar. I know that Celine of Black Salt also keeps a calendar, because I've copied quite a few entries from her calendar to mine.
My suggestion is that maybe someone would like to take ownership of a UKFBA calendar of UK food events. I'm sure it can be set up so that everyone can contribute and all members could then use it privately or via their blog sidebars as they see fit.
Is that a good idea and would anyone like to volunteer to take this on?

I think it's a great idea. I'm a little too technically challenged to offer to take it on though.

Wonderful idea Tristan! I would volunteer but seeing as how I've been struggling with my own calendar postings, I'd best not take ownership. I would be more than happy to contribute though.
I've probably made this sound harder than it is. It just needs someone to register a new calendar with Google Calendars, add the names of the UKFBA members to the ownership list and then publish it on this site so it is accessible to everyone. It's then a case of people adding entries as they find them and everyone being able to draw on the collective contributions.
