Eeeek! I find no pleasure in free samples of Kellogg's! Because a) well, assuming they are not organic, I am not keen on pesticide/fungicide residues on my plate b) I do not want to support the intensive monocultures of Agri-Farm which destroys wildlife and soil fertility c) My brand loyalty is to the small muesli makers that have been producing toasted muesli for decades before Kellogg's copied them. The only benefit I see in this launch is that it may turn on new supermarket customers to muesli. (And what is the sugar content of 'Natural Pleasure', I wonder?)

By the way "Kellogg’s plans to spend £3 million promoting Nature’s Pleasure including print advertising, sampling and digital marketing." I find this seethingly annoying. Small producers, family farms and farmers' markets have nowhere near this budget - yet I would say their produce is far more worth promoting, from every angle including social, health and taste. I don't think Kellogg's needs our help.

OK - and thanks for space to rant!

Some people take life far, far, far too seriously. Lighten up realfoodlover... they're just a cereal company launching a new product trying to get through the recession by keeping their 1000s of employees in work. Oh but they must be evil!!! Over the last 100 years they've actually managed to become a large organisation. Damn them, how shocking! You mean they had the audacity to create breakfast cereal and sell it and provide 1000s of people with jobs in the process! The cheek! They must be stopped right?!?

REELFOODLOVER - declare yourself! Why are you hiding behind anonynimity? You have even gone to the trouble of creating a spoof username based on my own.

Why? What did I say that so rattled you?

Dearie me, I fear that it is you that needs to lighten up!
