Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a problem

I've been sitting here updating the UK Food Bloggers Association list of members and adding the new members to the list of authors and we've reached the 100 mark. Fantastic, 100 members! But this is a double-edged sword, as on entering the 101 member blogger gave me a red error message - I can't have more than 100 authors on the blog! Eek.

So I'm not sure what we do now. It looks like new members will have to email me with posts they want to put up, which is going to be a logistical nightmare to be honest - and I'm really not sure I'm going to have the time.

I need to have a think on this, but in the meantime if you have any thoughts or suggestions they would be most welcome.

As a new member it would be good to post direct and to spare you the hassle of having to process our posts. Are there any members who haven't posted for a while? Would it be worth writing to them and asking whether they want to continue to be one of the 100 active members of the association?

Or can whoever hosts the association increase the capacity. I note Serious Eats seems to have a lot of different contributors.

Another option would be to host a UK Food Bloggers Association website, with the hosting charges split between the community (would be pence per member, but you could do it as a £3 contribution for a year) and install some weblog software on there, configured for as many members as required?

Blogger Limits: Team Membership Lists

Lately, we see news about an un documented limit in Blogger. The referential Blogger Help: What are the limits on my Blogger account? tells us

Team Members: There is no limit on the number of members or administrators per blog.
Yet elsewhere in the help forums (and not well indicated) there are dialogues where Blogger Employees have admitted to a recently imposed limit per blog, of 100 Authors and / or 100 Readers, to reduce server overload.

The Blogger Help article needs updating.
